Be careful, though, as some unscrupulous people may try to use these services in order to get a fee from you, in which case you will need to immediately stop any further transactions until you can find someone else to work with you. Some sellers have found this to be invaluable, however, so you should seriously consider this option if you are selling your home for someone's profit only.

Another way you can dissuade a buyer from purchasing your home is to have a Home Inspection. The majority of buyers want to purchase a home right away because they don't want to wait months or even years before they are able to move in. Therefore, having a Home Inspection gives them peace of mind right away and also gives you time to work on repairs and make any changes needed before you close the deal.

However, a Home Inspection is not free and can cost several hundred dollars. The buyer won't want to pay for your inspections, but it is better than having the buyer to walk away from your home without a deposit because you didn't spend the necessary time to make repairs that would have prevented major problems.
